The only way to see why, when and where a circuit breaker trips
Stop guessing about circuit breaker tripping issues!
You can now detect the type of fault, and locate the position of an electrical “event” that causes intermittent/persistent circuit breaker trips, and No Fault Found (NFF) conditions. The critical information needed to reduce call backs for circuit breaker trips.
The Fault Trapper™ is a new class of tester that uses Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry (SSTDR) to monitor live circuits. The Fault Trapper™ can capture time and distance to Opens, Shorts and Arc Faults saving the event information in memory for later investigation. If the circuit breaker trips, the backup battery powers the Fault Trapper™ to allow for an orderly shutdown. The last faults can be viewed using the battery power. The In-Line Adapter isolates the circuit being monitored from the breaker panel and all other breakers.

“[LiveWire Innovation] delivered and demonstrated a unit which we immediately used to accurately locate a cable fault on one of our sub-sea 5 KV cables. Prior to this we had used conventional TDR meters which had given us unreliable results and showed ghost signals which could have indicated additional faults that didn’t exist. The cost implications of this are huge.”
